Privacy Policy

CertifiMate stores the email address, display name, and learning progress you give us so the product can do its job. We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
What we collect
Your email and chosen display name on registration; the answers you submit during drills and flashcard reviews; rough activity timestamps used to compute streaks and per-topic mastery. That's it.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL instance in the EU. Backups are encrypted at rest. We do not log passwords or full request bodies, so your raw answers don't end up in operational logs.
Analytics
We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count page views on certifimate.com and app.certifimate.com. Umami does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. The data we see is aggregate page-view counts and rough referrer / device category, used to learn which parts of the product are actually useful.
Analytics are opt-in: nothing loads until you click "Allow analytics" in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. Rejecting analytics has no effect on product functionality.
Umami Cloud is operated by Umami Software, Inc. in the United
States. We use their hosted product (cloud.umami.is);
the snippet they ship to your browser is loaded only after you
consent.
Export and deletion
